Datadog Welcomes Yadi N. as CTO for APJ region

Yadi Narayana has been recently appointed as the Field Chief Technology Officer at Datadog for the Asia-Pacific and Japan. Narayana has more than 20 years of experience in product development and solutions engineering.

Before joining Datadog as Field CTO, he had worked with LaunchDarkly, Splunk, AppDynamics, and UMS – Unified Messaging Systems AS. Narayana has formerly worked with Datadog in the post-sales department in the APJ region. He has senior positions in LaunchDarkly and AppDynamics.

In this new position, he will collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to identify opportunities. Providing guidance on enhancing the solutions and best practices for customer use related to cloud migration, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

“Adding Yadi’s deep expertise in observability and security to our team is paramount to helping those organisations navigate complex challenges and tackle new opportunities,” expressed Rob Thorne, Vice President for the APJ region at Datadog.

Narayana also shared enthusiasm, stating, “It’s not easy for large companies to modernise, particularly those in highly regulated industries where there’s so much legacy and technology debt. I’ve spent the last 12 years focused on observability strategy, architecture, and sales, and Datadog stands out as the best product in the market.”

The expansion highlights the global demand, especially in the APJ region, for monitoring and security. Both the private and public sectors extensively employ generative AI, give priority to cybersecurity, and embrace cloud adoption.
