Starting July 15, 2025, YouTube’s Partner Program will crack down on “mass-produced, repetitive, or inauthentic” content. This is a big step towards creating an authentic platform. Creators who rely on templates, AI-generated videos, repetitive clips, or minor edits to others’ work will no longer be eligible for monetization. Reaction videos, AI-bot narrations, and slideshow compilations that contain negligible human input are particularly targeted by this update.

YouTube has always encouraged original and authentic content. And this update further solidifies YouTube’s commitment to modern content trends. “In order to monetize as part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), YouTube has always required creators to upload “original” and “authentic” content. On July 15, 2025, YouTube is updating our guidelines to better identify mass-produced and repetitious content. This update better reflects what “inauthentic” content looks like today.” announced the YouTube Partner Program officially.

The creators who are not eligible for the change are putting their ad revenue at risk and even on the edge of being removed from the YouTube Partner Program.
