Theo Pitsikas becomes the Head of SME at Zurich Insurance
Zurich Insurance appointed Theo Pitsikas as the Head of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) for the Asia Pacific region. In this role, Pitsikas will be responsible for amplifying the presence of SMEs in the APAC region. He will have to relocate to Singapore and coordinate with Sean Walker, who is the Head of Commercial Insurance and Chief Technical Officer for APAC at Zurich.
Pitsikas has been associated with Zurich since 2017 and has served as Head of SME for Australia. He has successfully contributed to the growth of Zurich Financial Services across Australia and New Zealand. He has also worked with renowned companies such as Suncorp Group and Allianz Group.
In his new role, Pitsikas will be responsible for overseeing Zurich’s strategy to expand its SME presence in the Asia Pacific region. He will supervise developing modular insurance solutions for micro-SMEs and trades, strengthening practices and driving platform enhancements.
The focus will be to penetrate deep in the high-growth markets of India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This leadership change highlights Zurich’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the SME segment across the Asia Pacific region, delivering solutions to support the SME sector.
