Dr. Arun Kumar Jaura has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of JK Tyre & Industries. This move will enhance the company’s technology, research & development, aligning with the planning and commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
Dr. Jaura has over 40 years of experience serving both the Indian and global markets. He holds a strong background in research and development, sustainability, product development, and hybrid vehicle engineering. With his versatile expertise, he has experienced working for global brands across the US, Canada, and France. He has managed businesses for companies like Ford, Eaton, Mahindra, Michelin, Hero, and more. Dr. Jaura has held many leadership positions which added immense value to companies and stakeholders.
The huge source of knowledge not only comes from his experience but also from his education. Dr. Jaura holds a master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. A gold medalist in Ph.D from Concordia University, Canada. His academic trajectory is further enhanced by executive education from Harvard Business School and the University of Michigan.
He started his career with Ford Motor Company. And then paced to Mahindra & Mahindra as Group CTO and Automotive Global Production Dev Chief. He also contributed in education and mentorship as well by being an Adjunct Professor at IIT Kanpur and Bombay.
Dr. Jaura served as CTO of Hero MotoCorp. His contributions led to several successful launches of products. This launch not only enhanced the company’s reputation in the Indian market but also marked a global spot. In 2024, he stepped down from his position to pursue his future endeavors.
