Venu Nuguri Appointed Managing Director of Hitachi India

Hitachi India has appointed Venu Nuguri as the managing director, effective June 2, 2025. Venu will assume this role in addition to his current position as Managing Director & CEO of Hitachi Energy India and Region Head of South Asia at Hitachi Energy. This leadership change comes with the elevation of Bharat Kaushal, from Hitachi’s first Indian Managing Director to Executive Chairman of Hitachi India.

With nearly four decades of experience, Venu has been driving significant growth at Hitachi Energy India. In this new role, he will focus on expanding the company’s presence in India, aligning it with the business objectives. His responsibilities include enhancing collaboration with other Hitachi Groups in India.

Bharat Kaushal, Executive Chairman of Hitachi India, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment: “The appointment of N Venu will reemphasize our vision and mission of making India one of the most lucrative business hubs within Hitachi’s cosmic ecosystem. This leadership change comes with the elevation of Bharat Kaushal, from Hitachi’s first Indian Managing Director to Executive Chairman of Hitachi India.

This strategic leadership transition at Hitachi India marks a significant moment with the elevation of Bharat Kaushal from his pioneering role as Hitachi’s first Indian Managing Director to the newly created position of Executive Chairman of Hitachi India.

This move not only recognizes Kaushal’s impactful contributions during his tenure as MD but also underscores Hitachi’s reinforced commitment to its operations and strategic vision within the critical Indian market. As Executive Chairman, Kaushal will likely play a pivotal role in guiding Hitachi’s long-term strategy and strengthening its presence across its diverse business interests in the region, working in tandem with the newly appointed Managing Director.
