Ashurst Welcomes Clarence Ding as Asia Head of Employment
Global law firm Ashurst has appointed Clarence Ding as the Asia Head of Employment. Based in Singapore, Ding will lead and expand Ashurst’s employment law across the region.
Ding has worked with companies like Simmons & Simmons, Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, Accenture, Barclays, and Allen & Gledhill LLP. With over a decade of experience in law and regulations, Ding’s immense expertise in employment law speaks for itself. Guiding the multinational companies in a range of issues, including workplace investigations, compliance, and cross-border employment issues.
Ding shared his experience over the years and the journey he started as a young lawyer. He emphasised the importance of employment law, quoting, “Within the confines of the hashtag#workplace, employment law is no longer just a framework of hashtag#rights and hashtag#obligations but blends complex considerations between individuals and organisations, between justice and compassion, and between normative and descriptive values.”
Ashurst also expressed optimism about the new appointment: “Clarence joins us as a partner, bringing over 15 years’ experience advising on the full spectrum of employment law, with a standout track record in contentious separations, restrictive covenants, and high-stakes investigations.”
